[ Getting started ]
Choose what each Mac is for.
One Mac runs your team (the host). Your other Macs connect to it. Here's how to pick, and how to switch later.
Each business has one Mac that runs its team. That Mac is the host. Any other Mac you use for the same business connects to the host and works as a window onto it.
Which should I choose?
- Host ("This Mac runs my team"): the Mac that stays on all day, usually a Mac mini at the office. Bots, automations, Telegram, the built-in browser, your files and logins all live here.
- Connected ("Connect to a team on another Mac"): your MacBook or any Mac you take with you. It shows your chats, Inbox, Activity and Automations from the host, and can send messages and approve things, but nothing runs on it by itself.
Switch a Mac later
- Open Settings › Devices.
- Under This Mac is for, pick the other choice.[ Screenshot coming ]
Settings, Devices, with the choice of what this Mac is for
- Read the message and confirm. Choosing Stop Running Team Here stops this Mac's bots, automations and Telegram when the app reopens. Your spaces and files stay on the Mac.
- Choose Quit and open the app again to finish switching.
