[ Automations ]
Create an automation.
Give an agent a task and a time, and it does the work by itself and reports back.
An automation is work that runs by itself: a task, the agent that does it, when it starts and where the results go. For example, a morning inbox check at 7 am, or a weekly progress report every Friday.
Start from an example
- Choose Automations in the sidebar.
- Pick one of the examples, such as Morning inbox triage or Weekly progress report, or write your own.[ Screenshot coming ]

Fill in the details
- What should it do? Write the task in plain words. Say what not to do as well, for example "Don't reply to anything."
- Name is optional.
- Which agent and model. Leave it on the default, or pick one.
- Which AI account. The subscription or key the agent uses, for example Work or Personal.
- When does it start? Pick a schedule (for example Weekdays at 09:00), or another start: - After another automation finishes. - When a file lands in a folder: it runs once for each new file. - When a webhook arrives from another service. - Custom schedule for anything else.
- Where should results go? For example The team lead's chat, or Nowhere, just do it.[ Screenshot coming ]
Editing an automation: the task, the agent, when it starts and where results go
- Save it.
Allow the tools it needs
When you switch an automation on, it may ask for the tools it needs, for example reading web pages. Choose Allow the tools it needs… to approve them once, up front, so it isn't stuck waiting on you at 7 am.

Sending, posting, deleting and paying always ask, every time.
Run, pause and check
- Run now runs it once, straight away.
- The switch turns it on or off. Off means paused; it keeps its settings.
- The automation health card on Home lists any automation that's failing, waiting on you or late, with one thing to do about each.
No-AI scripts for simple jobs
Some jobs don't need AI, such as updating follower counts on a Home card. Choose Switch to script (no AI) and it runs a small script instead, which is faster and free. If the script can't read the page, it falls back to the AI.
Flows: several agents in a row
For bigger jobs, choose Or build a flow of agents on a canvas. Each agent runs when the one before it finishes and gets its answer, so a researcher can hand to a writer, then to a reviewer.
